Mechanical Prusik roller for tree care

The mechanical ZIGZAG Prusik pulley allows for efficient movement in the tree using the same hand movements as a classic Prusik pulley. The rope locking chain allows the arborist to move precisely and smoothly. The rope pulley with its sealed ball bearing facilitates rope retrieval. The device is suitable for use with double and single ropes, thus offering a wide range of applications. The fixed lower connection eyelet ensures the device is correctly aligned with the user and facilitates handling.

Detailed description

  • Intuitive operation:
    - The same handles as a conventional Prusik pulley.
    - When the chain links pull apart, they block the rope.
  • For efficient movement in the tree:
    - The release lever allows for smooth and precise rope release and high precision during descent. The user can control the descent speed by varying the pressure on the lever.
    - The rope can be retracted effortlessly thanks to the rope pulley with encapsulated ball bearing and the separate, curved side panels.
    - The lower fixed connection eyelet ensures the correct alignment of the device to the user and facilitates handling.
  • Versatile applications:
    - suitable for use on double ropes and single ropes with the CHICANE accessory, which increases braking friction during abseiling, and the KNEE ASCENT knee ascender systems, which facilitate ascents,
    - Upper connecting eyelet for rope deflection when used on a double rope or for the additional CHICANE braking element when used on a single rope. It is equipped with a rubber ring that ensures the positioning of the connecting element along the longitudinal axis.
    - additional connection eyelet for attaching a ZILLON lanyard or a second safety system.
  • Wear resistance:
    - The steel construction guarantees a long service life.
    - The separate, curved side panels guarantee high wear resistance.
  • Rope compatibility: 11.5 to 13 mm diameter.
  • The ZIGZAG makes it possible to meet the requirements of the ANSI Z133 standard at work.
