Mechanical Prusik for tree care
The ZIGZAG mechanical Prusik allows efficient movement in the tree using the same actions as with a classic Prusik. Thanks to the blocking chain, the arborist can move precisely and smoothly. The pulley with sealed ball bearings makes it easier to pull in the rope. The device is suitable for use on both double and single ropes, offering a wide range of applications. The fixed lower attachment point ensures the device is correctly oriented to the user and facilitates handling.

Intuitive operation:
- The same hand movements as with a traditional Prusik.
- When the chain links separate, they block the rope. -
For efficient movement in the tree:
- The release lever allows for smooth and precise rope payout and high precision when moving. The user can control the descent speed by varying the pressure on the lever.
- The rope can be pulled in effortlessly thanks to the pulley with sealed ball bearings and the separate, curved side plates.
- The fixed lower attachment point ensures the device is correctly oriented to the user and facilitates handling. -
Versatile applications:
- suitable for use on a double rope as well as on a single rope with the CHICANE accessory, which increases braking friction during descent, and the KNEE ASCENT knee ascender systems, which facilitate ascent,
- upper attachment point for rope redirection when used on a double rope or for the additional braking element CHICANE when used on a single rope. It is equipped with a rubber ring that ensures the positioning of the connector in the longitudinal axis.
- additional attachment point for connecting a ZILLON lanyard or a second belay system. -
Wear resistance:
- The steel construction guarantees a long service life.
- The separate, curved side plates ensure high wear resistance. - Rope compatibility: 11.5 to 13 mm diameter.
- The ZIGZAG allows compliance with the requirements of the ANSI Z133 standard at work.
