Especially for hikers and trekking enthusiasts, breathable footwear that keeps feet cool and comfortable in warm weather is of great importance. The Zamberlan Airound GTX RR hiking shoe sets standards in terms of breathability.
The Airound GTX RR is the first shoe ever to offer true 360-degree breathability – all around, even on the sole. At only 385 grams, it is also feather-light.
The shoe is minimalist yet robust, designed for fast and effortless hiking in challenging terrain. The unique breathability of the sole is due to the patented Vibram Speed Hiking design with GORE-TEX Surround technology and patented Gore Open-Cell Spacers in the midsole: these allow excess heat and moisture to escape directly from the sole of the foot. Despite the airy construction, the sole is extremely durable – a robust Vibram outsole with TPU stabilizers in the arch of the foot sits beneath the breathable midsole.
The heel and toes are reinforced with thermoplastic, and the shaft is made of compression-molded EVA material – this gives the shoe excellent flexibility and protection from stones and scree.
